Here are a few books that have profoundly changed my life. I highly recommend them!
Please comment back if you have read any of these books. I would love to hear your experiences with them!
–Proof of Heaven has been a #1 New York Times Bestseller for a long period of time and has touched the lives of so many people including mine. Eben is a neurosurgeon from Harvard who believed that the brain created our full experience and that once our brain died, we went with it. However, one day he contracted a form of life threatening bacterial meningitis and spent 7 days in a coma. While seeming lifeless in the hospital he was actually on an inner journey where he experienced complete inner peace and the unending love from an energy he called Om, at the time, but now calls God. He now speaks about what comes after death and how we should not fear this place. He says that the brain is simply a filter for our consciousness in order to live in the physical world. There is so much more to our souls that can only be experienced once freed from our bodies. One of my favorite books!
-Dr. Eben Alexander is one of the most inspiring people I have ever seen speak. I first saw him speak on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday and then I had the amazing honor of seeing him speak twice at the Institute of Noetic Science Conference in July.
-This book was one of the most transformational books in my life. Brian Weiss is a well respected psychiatrist who was one day faced with a patient who started describing lives that were not her present life. Through exploring these past lives, Dr. Weiss watched his patient heal from her depression. He is still practicing past life regression and it is a phenomena that I am very interested in. This book really helped me realize that we never truly die; that our souls simply travel from body to body throughout time and come into being to teach different lessons and learn new ones. Amazing book.
-This book is a very simple and easy read but it holds such an amazing message. Don Miguel Ruiz splits his book into four parts which he calls agreements: be impeccable with your word, don’t take anything personally, don’t make assumptions, and always do your best. He explains how was are all eternally loved and also describes what he believes is the best path to happiness. His words as so simple and wise and his energy is so pure that this book hit me very hard and I found myself looking at life in a whole new way after reading it.
